the stoneware collection is inspired by earthy stone textures and embroidered patchwork fabrics. all vases are handmade originals, no two are alike. they sometimes lean like a buzzed uncle Morris. they are perfectly imperfect, they hold their water.

A native Californian, artist N. E. Christensen studied at the San Francisco Art Institute as an interdisciplinary artist. Blending a fine art education and love of functional craftsmanship Chamotte Studio was created. an Affection for hand-stitched linens and old dinged up heirlooms inspire the aesthetic. Bringing in the natural world of stone to seed-pod contributes to the textures and colors of the Studio’s designs.
